Activities and fun on the lake
There is much to do on the lake, as an individual, couple, or by joining some of the many groups and clubs.
The Yacht Club is the preeminent club on the lake, with a 50 year history as the main party and water fun organization. Other clubs include the Cotillion Dance Club, Fishing and Casting, Tennis, Golf, Sportsmen, and the newly formed Kayak Club. There are over two dozen clubs, mostly with monthly activities including dinner, dance, cards, tennis, golf, home activities, art, music, fitness, etc.
The premier annual lake events are the July 4th celebration and Yacht Club boat parade, Christmas and St. Patrick's day boat parades. It seems that every week there is some group that has a function to attend.
